Anna

I have had an amazing experience with G-Row. When I started the program I had never rowed before, and now rowing is my favorite sport. The coaches and the team are very supportive and I have made great friends. G-Row has made me expect more from myself.

Elizabeth
I only wanted to row because I wanted to get into a private school. But when I joined G-ROW, I fell in love with the sport. The thing I love most about crew is that I use my legs, arms, back and a lot of muscles to make one boat move fast. Just the feeling when you get a good time, makes you want more.

Fiona
G-ROW has given me an opportunity to learn how to row and also build good relationships with other girls who's also doing this sport.

Gabrielle
I started G-Row in the fall season of September 2010. And at first it was tough and tiring but I had something that some of my other friends who stopped determination, perseverance, and tenacity all of which I learned from my school and other programs I had been apart of. So sure people said it would make me quit but it was that resistance and will from stopping that has brought me to this present day and shall continue to keep going. I will do the best that I can and I hope others find it in themselves to see what I'm trying to do.

G-ROW has been the most amazing experience of my life. I joined to try a new sport and it completely changed my life. I met new friends and learned a totally new sport. As a novice the entire G-ROW experience is brand new to me and I learn to have fun with everything that we do, and this includes the workouts and the on-water skill building.

Jen
Because I will be graduating in June, this is my last year on G-ROW and I will be taking on a greater role as captain. This is my third year on G-ROW and I absolutely love it. I am both a coxswain and a rower which helps because it gives me a greater perspective on both sides of the sport.

Jocelyn
My name is Jocelyn  and I'm a sophmore at the John D. O' Bryant School of Math and Science. I'm a very hardworking girl, keep a GPA above 3.8 and participate in G-ROW, Adventure Club, Church group, and maintain a wonderful job. Being a first generation college student from Colombia encourages me to do by best in everything I do. My experience with G-ROW has been wonderful, they have supported me so much. The coaches have helped all the girls excel both academically and in rowing. G-ROW has introduced me to rowing, a sport that I want to participate in college and all my life. My favorite thing about rowing is being in the water and experiencing the environment around me while I'm doing it, the beauty of nature around me encourages me to row. Also, when rowing, you work with your team and there's always time for improvement even if you mess up.

Hello! G-ROW is an amazing program that introduces girls to rowing and helps build mental and physical strength. My experience at G-ROW has been marvelous! I have met girls from other schools and made plenty of new friends! I have also gained confidence and my self esteem has increased thanks to G-ROW. Everyone is friendly and also helpful.

Kristen
G-ROW is a great program for girls to learn about fitness by rowing, meet new friends, and to learn about colleges. My experience at G-ROW so far has been great ! I have made many new friends and learned that rowing is one of my favorite new activities.

Madison
My experience with G-ROW has been great! It's taught me how to be a part of a team, how to be responsible, and how much hard work pays off.  Rowing is one of the only sports I'm really good at. To me, rowing is therapeutic. This year has been very exciting for our team. We got to row in the Head of the Charles and Mass Publics. We accomplished some team goals and I was also able to accomplish some personal goals. I rowed my first race in a single and although I didn't place first, it was a great experience. Next spring will be the first competitive season for most of the team.

This is my first year in G-ROW. I absolutely love it, I feel that as my friends and I have joined in the beginning of the year we have grown closer to each other learning that we all love rowing. As a rower you need to be able to have strength and endurance with all the exercise and amount of rowing we do both on the water and on the ergs. When I first went on a shell, which is the long skinny boats, I was so scared, but I stuck through it and here I am wanting to pursue this not only in high school but also in college.

G-ROW has helped me and changed my life. The program and the people in it help me to focus and to think about my priorities and my life goals. They help you as to what their opinion is on how you should conquer that want. I feel I am stronger and more enthusiastic about sports, fitness, heath, and school. Allowing me to get to the place I want. Crew has made me stronger both mentally and physically. I believe myself and every girl participating deserves to have their minds be able to explore and to open their live experiences. Myself and my fellow rowers feel as though we have been accepted into a family.

Rosemary
I have been part of G-Row for about a year and I love it. I love the friendships I've made and the work ethic I have built because of this sport. I am a rower and it is such an intense workout especially during races but in the end I get a feeling of accomplishment that is indescribable.
