2007/2008 Team Captains
Rachel, Onnicha, Sasha
Allison, Junior, Another Course to College (ACC) To me G-ROW means teamwork and dedication. The best thing about G-ROW is the winter break trip when we get to spend a week with people we barely know then leave feeling like a family. Alyse, Junior, John D. O'Bryant High School (OB) I love G-ROW because it challenges me and forces me to push myself to do the best I can. I also love being a part of a team and getting to know my teammates. But most importantly, I have the best coach ever Molly! She pushes me to do things when I don't think I can and in the end it makes me a stronger person inside and out. Alyssa, Junior, Learning Prep School My favorite part of practice is being able to see my friends and be around people who care about me. My favorite team memory from the previous years is when we went to Arizona for winter training. Amber, Sophomore, Boston Latin Academy High School(BLA) For me G-ROW is an outlet for my energy and a way to keep in shape Ana, Junior, Josiah Quincy Upper School (JQUS) Hello friends! I’ve been on G-ROW for three years now and I love it. G-ROW has become a big part of my life and I am so close with everyone including the coaches. Part of why I keep coming back to G-ROW is because of it’s great environment and cool people. I plan to be on G-ROW until I graduate next year. Areeya, Junior, BLA This is my second year on G-ROW and it has been so much fun. I've learned a lot about working as a team and the people on my team are great! Caitlyn D., Sophomore, BLA I love G-ROW because it is not only a fun sport and is a way to stay fit but also a way to make new friends. I also like it because it's a sport not everyone has heard of so it gives me a chance to educate people about something new. Caitlyn M., Freshman, BLA I joined G-ROW a year ago and I joined because my friend rows on a different team and told me I should join because it’s a fun sport. So I joined G-ROW and even though it is very hard sometimes it is also fun too. Cassandra, Senior, OB My favorite part of practice is getting in the boat and just rowing! The reason I joined G-ROW was that I wanted to try something new! My favorite memory from rowing was losing my first race. This taught me that I needed to improve my rowing. Colleen, Junior, OB I love G-ROW because I get to do this sport with people like me, unlike other sports where all the team really has in common is taking part in the actual sport, here G-ROW is a little more. For the past couple of years I wanted to join G-ROW, but I never got around to it. Even though I thought it looked like fun. I have met so many great people and after joining the team I feel great! Elizabeth, Junior, BLA G-ROW to me is a place I can be with my friends while doing something I enjoy. I joined G-ROW because I went to the summer camp and liked it so I joined the competitive team. I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished over the years and I’m excited to see what’s in store for the future. Morgana, Junior, BRI One of the reasons I decided to join G-ROW was because it was a sport that I have always been interested in but have never thought I could be successful at. My favorite thing about practice so far is pushing myself to reach goals that seem to be impossible to reach and completing them the support of my teammates and coaches. Paris, Senior, OB (Captain) To me G-ROW is not just a team, it’s a family. It’s a program where you can build your strength, endurance and improve how you work as a team.
